Can’t create gamer tag

I’m trying to sign into my account to play minecraft on my iPhone but when I get to ‘create my gamer tag’ and press ‘let’s go’ then nothing happens. I have tried to open the page separately on various different browsers and create a gamer tag there but the same thing happens regardless of what device or browser I try it on. I have seen another user ask a similar question on here but the answers aren’t helpful.

I can’t contact minecraft support because I don’t have a gamer tag which is a required field.

When you're creating a new gamertag and account you need to be on the Xbox.com website to verify and enter all your info. Have you tried that?

well have you checked the website to see if there are problems with servers?
