can't create a gamertag using my email.

I bought minecraft on my PC and i have to make an xbox gamertag. i log in with my email and go to create my gamertag but when i press "let's go" nothing happens. i tried it with a different email address and it worked. but since i bought minecraft on this email i have to sign in and make a gamertag with this email. can someone inform me on how to solve this issue?

That is strange as you mentioned it worked with another account. Could you try verifying your Microsoft account as well through this page https://account.live.com/reputationcheck ? After that, try again if you are still having trouble creating an Xbox profile for your Microsoft account. In case you are still having problems, I suggest to try contacting Xbox support directly on this page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us just click on "Contact us" > try choosing "Subscriptions & Billing" > Then choose "I don't recognize a charge" > Type "Support" > Click "See contact options" from there it should show you the option to chat with them or request a call.

I know it is not the right category, but this is just a way to easily find the option to contact the Xbox team to have your account checked.

If you cannot create a gamertag for your account inside the game, have you somehow tried creating outside via browser? Try to sign in your Microsoft account here https://account.xbox.com/profile page. Once you sign in, it should allow you to create your own gamertag for the email address.

I hope the steps and link works. But feel free to post back here if you are still having problems or error. We will try with the best of our knowledge to assist.

Hello Boba, you say you created an account in 2019, that account had already been logged into an Xbox or microsoft site, because when that happens it creates a Gamertag for that email account, i.e. your Gametag and Microsof account are one.

You can't delete a Gamertag without deleting the email, whenever you want to create an account to use on Xbox, you'll first create the email, and when you log on to xbox or xbox website, you'll be created and associated with a Gamertag for that profile.
