Cant connect xbox to laptop with ip in xbox app

I have the exact ip adress of my console, and when i type it in to wirelessly connect, it says cannot find xbox with that ip, and i need help. (I dont have a tv with me so i cant connect to the network, or else it would be hard navigating without a tv
atleast)

Try clearing the MAC address on the console and try again

To clear the MAC Address - Go to settings. All settings, Network - Advanced network , Alternate Mac Address - clear

Are all the devices on the same network? Does the network allow devices on the network to see each other?

my xbox is not connected to the wifi, is there anyway to connect it to the internet without a tv? I have my ip for the xbox but it is not working, it says its wrong.

Hi, you need to connect the xbox to a TV or monitor with a hdmi cable to be able to connect it to the wifi.

Can you check that the Xbox is actually properly connected to your network?

Also, do you have any third party Firewall software on your PC? Like for example Anti-Virus suites that also have their own Firewall built in that replace the Windows internal Firewall?

Can you try to disable/uninstall that third party Firewall/Antivirus software? (Don't worry, Windows 10 has it's own built in Antivirus software, and if you are using a router/gateway modem, then that device is your Internet-facing Firewall, and the only
thing the PC Firewall is protecting against, are hackers that are physically connected to your home network (i.e. are already inside your house).
