Can't connect to servers on minecraft.

I play windows 11 on minecraft and I love playing "Hive", a public server minecraft offers and it worked fine yesterday, I tried joining on my sisters windows 10 and it worked fine. Ive restarted my PC, factory reset it, disabled my firewall, changed and flushed my dns, disconnected and reconnected to wifi, uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft countless times, checked for updates, switched to a downgraded version of minecraft, literally everything but everytime i try to join a server it says "Unable to connect to world" what am I missing that I need to do?

    :)

Can't connect to servers on minecraft.

Hi Oskayra, I tried again this morning to connect, still no luck. I could join it fine on my sister's laptop on my account so it has to be something that happened when either my pc or minecraft updated. I dont think it is a queue or wait time thing, there is just something that is making it so servers wont run on my pc when they used to run perfectly fine before my pc updated.

I'm sorry to hear that the problem persists. Try the following steps recommended by independent advisor Gerardo C.:

Please check if any of the following procedures solve the problem:

    1. Restart your PC and turn off the power to your modem and/or router for 60 seconds.

    2. Turn the modem's power back on and wait for the Internet connection to reestablish before turning on your PC again and attempting to access the game.

    3. In the Windows search engine, type 'cmd' without the quotes, right click on it and run it as administrator.

    - Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

    - Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.

    - Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.

    - Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.

    - Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

    - Restart your computer and check if the problem is solved.

If the problem persists please do the following:

    1. In Windows Search type services.msc and press Enter.

    2. Right-click on the 'Peer Network Pooling' service and select Properties.

    3. Check if the service is started; If not, click Start.

    4. You can also set the startup type to Automatic preference.

    5. Click Apply and then OK.

    6. Restart your PC and check if the problem still occurs.

If after that you still have the same problem, do the following:

    1. In Windows Search, type 'cmd' without the quotes and run it as administrator.

    2. Type "netsh" and press Enter.

    3. Type "int teredo" and press Enter

    4. Type "set state disabled" and press Enter

    5. Type "int ipv6" and press Enter

    6. Type "set teredo client" and press Enter.

Finally, check if your Windows Defender Firewall has allowed your Minecraft Launcher to connect, otherwise it will block the game from connecting to the Internet.

    Follow these steps below:

    - Click the Start / Windows button > Settings > Update and security > Windows Security and then Firewall and network protection.

    - Select Allow an app through the firewall.

    - Search and select your game in the list of installed applications.

    - Select Accept.

    - Check if the problem persists.

Can't connect to servers on minecraft.

Hello Dovey K, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox, so we do not have access to any user account or check anything from the forum. All users help each other with common problems.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and found a publication by Rodrigo Oliver, an independent advisor, where he mentions the reasons why perhaps you cannot find the world and connect. :

Wait times are due to server capacity and player number/demand.

Queues are necessary to ensure that all players have a good gaming experience.

I believe the servers are being updated regularly to mitigate this, but for now, and given the time of year, wait times are longer than usual.

Thank you for your patience, I hope everything can be resolved. I will be attentive to your response. Blessings.

    Sincerely,
    Oskayra.

Can't connect to friend's minecraft server

    Dear bobbyspot

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

Based on your description, I understand that you are unable to join your friends Minecraft server, please point out if I am misunderstanding.

Here are some of my suggestions

Check if the Server Address is Correct

    • Make sure the server IP address and port number you entered are completely correct. You can ask the server owner to confirm the address again.
    • If a custom port number is set, make sure you are entering it in the correct format when connecting,

Ensure Mods and Versions Match Exactly

    • Mod Consistency: Check if the mods in your CurseForge profile match the mods on the server exactly, including version numbers. The server owner can send you the mod pack that is currently running on the server for comparison.
    • Minecraft Version: Make sure your version of Minecraft matches the server's main version (e.g., 1.18.2, 1.19, etc.).
    • Some derivative mod packs may have slight differences, so it’s advisable to directly import the mod files provided by your friend.

    Network Connection and Ping Issues

    • Check Network Connection: Use the following to see if the issue lies with your network:
      • Open Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac), type ping [Server IP Address], and check if the connection is stable.
      • If you cannot ping the server, it could be a network issue, or the server side may have blocked your connection.
    • Test with VPN: Try using a VPN to change your IP address and then connect to the server. Sometimes network routing problems can cause connections from specific regions to fail.

    Check Firewall and Antivirus Software

    • Make sure your firewall isn’t blocking the network connection for Minecraft or CurseForge.
    • Temporarily disable antivirus software (or allow network access for CurseForge and Minecraft) and try connecting to the server again.
    • If you are using a router, check if it has a protection function enabled that blocks certain ports; you can temporarily disable it for testing.

    Server-Side Issues

    • Have the server owner check the server logs for any records of your connection attempts:
      • Are there any error messages when attempting to connect?
      • Did your account accidentally get blocked due to your IP or some configuration, even without a whitelist?
    • Even though the server doesn’t have a whitelist, there might still be a connection failure due to network issues that unintentionally blocked you.

    Clear Cache and Reinstall Mods

    • Delete your existing mod folder and reinstall the mod pack from CurseForge.
    • Delete and reinstall your CurseForge launcher and Minecraft game files to ensure there are no potential configuration errors.

Try Direct Connection to the Server

    • In addition to using the CurseForge launcher, you can attempt to connect directly via the Minecraft vanilla launcher, loading the mod pack and joining the server to test.

I wish you all the best

I have login in Minecraft but why I can't play any server pls solve this problem

    Hello ERROR 008,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

There are many reasons for not being able to connect to any server in Minecraft. Here are some of the common reasons and their solutions so that you can troubleshoot and solve the problem step by step:

    1. Check if the Minecraft version and the server version match

Make sure that the server you are trying to connect to is compatible with your version of Minecraft. If you are playing Minecraft Java Edition and the server you are trying to connect to is Bedrock Edition (or vice versa), you will not be able to connect.

    Solution:

Make sure you are using the correct version of Minecraft (Java or Bedrock) to connect to the appropriate type of server.

You can check the server's official website or introduction page for information on the versions supported by the server.

    2. Make sure your internet connection is working

Minecraft may not be able to connect to the server due to network problems. When the network is unstable, too slow, or malfunctioning, it may prevent you from connecting to the server.

    Solution:

Make sure your device is connected to a stable network (use a wired connection or make sure the Wi-Fi signal is good).

You can try opening other apps or websites to test the network connection and make sure there are no network interruptions or delays.

    3. Check Minecraft's Firewall or Network Settings

If you are using a firewall or certain network security software, it may be preventing Minecraft from establishing a connection with the server. You can check your firewall settings to see if there are rules that prevent Minecraft from connecting.

    Solution:

Open your firewall settings and make sure that Minecraft or Minecraft Launcher is allowed to connect to the Internet through the firewall.

Make sure that no other internet security software is blocking Minecraft connections.

You can also contact the support staff of the corresponding game to find out why.

    Best regards
