    Can't complete install of The Outer Worlds game


    trying to download "the outer worlds" game. im trying to download it with my game pass active but once the download finishes it gives me error 0x800700B7 the folder with the files are still downloaded fully on the disk i choose but windows won't detect the
    game so i can't remove it since it doesnt think it is installed. when i try to re-download on the same disk it moves directly to completed in download status and stays stuck there. in the xbox console companion app the game shows up there but nothing happens
    when i press play.. i dont know what to do... I am fully updated and restarted. when i try to install to another drive it removes the game files from the other drive so i can see that it is removing it from the previous drive, and it is downloading just fine
    until the very end... i tried to reset the microsoft store app in the apps & features and also i tried the powershell re-install script but still same problem.

    Try reset settings in xbox itself. Will delete your account but not games.

    I did reset it via apps and features dont know if there is a reset in the app itself havent found one.

    Have you attempted to do the remote install via the website instead? This is the way I always do it and it works extremely reliably. Just go to this link, sign in and it should show “install on my devices”. Click there and choose which Xbox you’d like to
    install on. Cheers!

    Apologies, I totally mis-read your post. I’d agree with above posters on this, you need to make sure you have the latest updates installed.

    Have you looked for a windows 10 update because its required to have the latest version of eindows 10 to play that game
