cant click lets go when picking gamertag

It appears this is an ongoing issue as we are receiving a high volume of similar cases, although I am not seeing any Xbox live status from the Xbox page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status yet but I am seeing fellow gamers posting in community forums as well.

I would highly recommend you try creating here on this page: https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag in case you are still having problem on the page.

Try to go to https://account.microsoft.com page first. Once you are signed in go to https://account.xbox.com/profile page next to see if it will allow you to create one.

Bro Microsoft has the worst website. It’s so slow never works and ITS IMMPOSSIBLE to contact support I’ve been trying to make an Xbox account to connect it with mincraft and I can’t because the button does absolutely nothing and I’m not gonnna wait 3 days for a reply I tried a different network and nothing is working any advice ?

Just as a heads up, we are currently receiving multiple reports regarding this particular account creation issue, however, no official announcements have been made by Microsoft .In the meantime we can just perform troubleshooting steps.

Have you tried using a different network?

i cant see anything that will let me edit the post, and as far as i know he didnt do a change, he picked his gamertag back before the system assigned them(it assigned me mine)

Since you still have the random gamertag, you can change it online. If you go to edit profile here on the website, you should see gamertag near the top. Click change gamertag and then it should let you put in a new one.

This only works when you have the random gamertag.
