    Can’t Clear Alternate Mac Address


    Recently, I’ve been having a lot of wifi issues with my XBOX One. I’ve read up on a bunch of forums with a lot of helpful information. I’ve tried the hard reset, it doesn’t work. I’m not able to reset my router because it’s my parent’s router. So I’m forced
    to try another option. I noticed someone said that if you recently changed the password to your profile, then your network could start acting up. So I tried their option. I deleted my account off of my XBONE. But, when I went to clear the Alternate Mac Address,
    it won’t let me restart to apply the changes. I’ve repeatedly tried the button to restart button. I even manually restarted my xbox and nothing is changing. It literally will not allow me to clear the mac address.

    Just to be specific, when I go to test my network it says I’m connected to the internet. But I can’t connect to my XBOX Live and none of the pins or marketplace work.

    I’ve been working on this for like 3 days and it’s really infuriating. Help!

    Been having the same issue for a while. Ive tried everything. Seems to be fine if i connect the Xbox wired directly into the router. But if you try to find a network it picks nothing up and doesnt allow you to restart your mac address.

    Clearing your Alternate MAC address. Hit the Menu button, Settings, Network, Advanced, Alternate MAC address, Clear, Restart. It will take a few mins for the console to reboot.

    Having an issue to connect to xbox live? You should check this.

    You could also try clearing the alternate MAC address by going into settings, network advanced, and clear alternate MAC address. You console will restart and your NAT should be open. Clearing the MAC address refreshes the ip.
