    Hi everybody!,

    I can't choose 4K/120Hz in the TV & Display Option menu on 65U88H ( *Canadian version but same as the American one) TV from Hisense.

    I can only go to 1440P/ 120HZ with no issues. I am runnning the latest updates from Hisense ( I tried the online & offline updates on USB) and OS Xbox X version of 10.0.25398.1762

    What I did try to fix the issue:

    Full reset of the console ( numerous times)

    Disconnect the console ( Power cycles), all cables for 10 minutes, hours..

    Installed a new formatted SSD hard drive in the Xbox X with a fresh offline OS /updates on USB. (*10.0.25398.1762)

    Tried 6 differents fresh new HDMI 2.1 cables, different brands. Even the OEM one.

    Tried my destop computer with HDMI 2.1 on the Hisense TV ( I am getting full 4k/120hz with no issues whatsoever).

    HDMI format option on the Hisense TV is in the Enhanced Format for max bandwith.

    I started a new MS Xbox account.. running out of ideas!

    Also played with every options possible on the Hisense TV but no difference. The Xbox X only detects the TV as 4k/60Hz.

    I tried differents HDMI ports. I only have 2 ports that support 120HZ. I even tried the other ones...

    I have no issues running the NVIDIA GPU card wih HDMI 2.1 on the TV @ 4k 120HZ but can't get full bandwith with the Xbox X??? The Xbox X console is new to me ( bought it from my friend which played games at 60HZ).

    Microsoft's prior console, the Xbox One X only has HDMI 2.0. Full 120Hz at 4K requires HDMI 2.1 which that Xbox does not have.

    HDMI 2.0 does not have the bandwidth for 120Hz at 4K. In any case, there are no games on the older Xbox One X that run at 120Hz (or 120fps). There is enough bandwidth for 1440P at 120Hz, which is why you select this from the menu.

    Like you've said, your PC graphics card has HDMI 2.1 which is why you can use 120Hz with this connected your TV.

    In addition to the above, some 4k TVs only accept a 4k signal from certain HDMI ports, check the one you're plugged into. My Hisense tv requires me to enable a setting in the menus; HDMI needs to be set to 'enhanced' or else the xbox reports that the tv
    is not 4k compatible!!

    Xbox One S and X does not support 4K at 120hz and to get 4K at 120hz you need a HDMI 2.1 port on both console and TV,

    also the Xbox One S is a 1080p console that upscales to 4K unlike the One X which is 4K console.

    By my research it cannot display 120hz properly. The manual deliberately avoids talking about it, and the literature keeps talking about how the panel is 120hz. This does not mean the electronics driving the display can keep up.

    according to this review it cuts the resolution in half at 120hz.

    I appreciate the research you did. I’m really frustrated at this point, this being the second tv that I’ve gotten that has all the requirements to run 4k@120hz that is under 1k$ and won’t do it. Do you know what tvs will work with the Xbox one x and yield these results? Clearly it’s something in the fine print I am missing.
