    Hi,

    I'm unable to change my Xbox gamertag on my laptop. I get to the stage of conformation, but after I click 'Change gamertag' the popup just goes away and I'm left with the same screen that I had before the popup. I've attempted to change it on multiple devices and it does not work. I don't have access to an Xbox. If I reload the page, it just goes back to the 'inputting username' stage. Can someone please tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? Is it just a glitch?

    There could be multiple reasons why you're experiencing these issues, most likely this issue is due to any words that can possibly be identified as offensive, are not allowed on Xbox to help create a positive environment for all gamers. Try using a different word or a different combination of words. Hope this helps!

    Yes. I've moved the xbox, restarted everything, turned off laptop, etc. Nothing changes. I'm at work right now. Can't test my network speed.

    My MS email, name and gamertag are all ANSI alphanumeric. Desktop and Laptop both set up during OOBE with passwordless login, so they both use a cut off version of my name as profile name.

    Desktop works, Laptop doesn't.
