Can't change volume of Xbox Wireless Headset on Win10

[/quote]A suggestion that might help, if you haven't already checked and done this of course. Check your Voice volume within the Xbox 360's settings menu.

To access your Microphone/Voice volume:

• Press the Guide button on your controller.
• Go to Settings.
• Select Preferences.
• Select Voice.
• Increase the volume to 10.

I personally don't have much experience with the Bluetooth wireless headsets so I can't offer much advice for that in particular, though the voice volume setting that you can turn up or down above affects both wireless and wired Xbox 360 headsets.

Is there a volume wheel on one of the ear pieces of the headset? Because on the wireless version headset there is, and the chat volume is separated from it. Check that, because it could be all the way down.

There are options such as the PDP Afterglow AG +9 Headset that are in fact wireless and have a really long battery life, and they are made designed for console use. Even have a mute button, volume for game and party volume.

Xbox One wireless stereo headset? I wouldn't know about it being "wireless", but are you actually talking about the
wired stereo headset that Microsoft sells for Xbox One? If so, the stereo headset does have a 3.5mm connector at the end. The
Xbox 360 has a 2.5mm port for headset. It can technically connect to the Xbox 360 controller with a 3.5mm(female)-to-2.5mm(male) adapter.

I think that the Xbox One stereo headset relies on the included adapter module for physical control of the volume and mute, and since that adapter can't be used on the Xbox 360 controller, volume adjustment will require you to go to the Xbox 360 Guide menu
and adjust the volume somewhere in the settings/options.

Please also note that while game sounds can be heard by connecting a headset/headphones to an Xbox One controller, the Xbox 360 does not have that functionality built in to the controller. Any audio headset plugged into the controller would be used for voice chat
only.

Are you using a wired or wireless headset? Some wireless headsets have this feature built in to them and therefore the setting will not show on the Xbox One. You can also check on your Xbox One under Settings>General>Volume & Audio Output.
