  1. Can't change privacy options on Live account

My nephew has a Live account that was under mine as a child. Since he's older now we had him removed from my child accounts. On the One with this account, he can't do anything. No adding of friends, no party, nothing. All the options are greyed out.
If I log into Xbox.com with my ID he is not listed under my family. He is under my child accounts on live.com though. I logged onto his One with my account, but still no management of his account.

Tried one call with MS support with a foreigner who had no idea what we were talking about an we could barely understand her. Any ideas?

    :)

  3. Can't join in my friend's xbox club!

I still get an error that says I have to change my privacy options but it's all not blocked and it continues to block my invite! How can I fix this?

"You can't do this because of how your account is set up. Go to your privacy and online safety settings on Xbox.com to change this."

    This was the error message!

Once you register an xbox live account as a child account you can't change it. The parental account can change privacy settings of the child account though.

How do I stop people from adding me as a friend on xbox live?

    Hi Dempup,

I have just been in my settings on xbox and I can't see that option only Account, Privacy & online safety, xbox live privacy, custom, and then I can't see an option to block friend requests sorry. Any other ideas??

    Xbox Acount

    Hello ZackSvensson,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Forums. You can only change your privacy settings if you have an adult account. If you have a kids account, you will have to ask a parent who managed your Xbox to change these settings for you.

In the case that your account is an adult account, to change your privacy settings, open the settings app on your Xbox One. From there, make sure that account is selected from the side menu, and then select 'Privacy & online safety.'

Once in there, select 'Xbox Live Privacy' and change the settings accordingly to your personal preferences. There is even an option to customize privacy settings that suit your needs.

If you are unable to add your friend, select 'View details & customize' and select 'Friends & Clubs'. From there, there will be options allowing you to add your friends, allowing others to see your friends list just to name
    a new.

Once you find the option that you would like to change, make sure 'Allow'
is checked. From then, you should be able to add your friend on Xbox Live. For any additional information, you can check out the

    Xbox privacy
    article.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Antoine,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. When you are on the parent account you will have to change the child account privacy settings. There are options there that allow them to communicate with others outside of Xbox live. Change these and let
    us know.

    Thanks,

    Brad

I can not change my privacy and security information online..

If you can't change your privacy settings online you have a child account and only your parental account can do that for you
I just watched and apparently I can change everything in my account, but there is only the broadcast category which is obviously unchangeable, is it only this option that blocks?
