Cant change payment method when I change region so I effectively cant change region.

It appears that you are updating the information from your Xbox console after moving to a new region and some options are greyed out. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

If you’re moving to a new country or region, find out what you need to do to make sure that you can use your Xbox console in your new locale. Here are the steps to do before you can change locale:

1. Change your Microsoft account region.

• Sign in to your Microsoft account and review your info. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile
  
• Select Edit profile info.
  
• Update the info under Country/region, State, Postal code, and/or Time zone, as applicable.
  
• Select Save.
  

2. Change your country/region in your console.

Follow these steps to update your settings to your new country/region, and then restart your Xbox console. When you make your first purchase in the new locale, you'll be prompted to update your billing info.

1. Sign in to your Xbox console.
   
2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
3. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Language & location.
   
4. Select your new country or region from the drop-down list under Location. If you also need to update your system Language or Language region, do so now, and then select Restart now.

Thank you for your detailed response.

I managed to get it to work. I think what I had to do was 'add payment method' and not simply edit my existing one. This way I could change the address of the country that the card was billed to.

try to change your region in the console settings, if the problem continues and you will still pay by credit or debit card open a paypal account and use it as a payment method

i tried to change region but i cant, and even paypal is locked on US
