Cant change my name on xbox

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with changing the name on your console.

What kind of error messages are you receiving?

When you attempt to test your network, do you receive any error messages at all? There is an article that covers what steps to take in order to

troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection if you do.

What I would suggest would be, if possible, to use an alternate network, such a mobile hotspot, to see if you are able to configure it this way.

Alternatively, if your close to your network hardware, you can try to connect using an ethernet cord to see if you experience better results.

i have changed my name and ik cant sign in my old name is on the xbox

Game tag will not let change to my new name and it is the first time i have change it. Niot my computer it change it My xbox is staying on the old name and know i cant sign on

Go to the website xbox social.com you can change your name for free.only 1 time make the most of it

I would suggest setting up a call back from an Xbox Live support agent by following the steps below. The agent would be able to look into your account and see if your Gamertag has already been changed
from it's original Xbox genertated default Gamertag.

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
