Can you elaborate what method you are using to try and take screenshots?

When ingame do you press the Nexus button to bring up the Home Guide, then move to the right to Capture and share, then Capture>Capture a screenshot?

Capture game clips and screenshots provides support for this feature.

If you have a lot of clips on your console you may want to upload them to XBox Live so you can delete some of them from the console.

There is only a finite space for clips and shots stored on the console.

You should upload your captures anytime you can to make sure they will not be raised when you keep taking screenshots or clips.

I believe there is an issue with capturing content if you are using an Insider Build (Alpha, Alpha Skip-Ahead, Beta, Delta, and Omega).

Unfortunately there isn't a way to recover the full clip at this time, as far as I understand.

Hopefully this issue will be addressed in a coming update.

Additionally, you can upload your game clips and screenshot directly to OneDrive so that you can view it using your OneDrive app in your Windows device or your OneDrive online. You can configure it by enabling automatic upload to OneDrive by following these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Go to “Profile & system” > “Settings” > “Preferences” > “Capture & share” > “Automatic uploads.”
   
3. Enable automatic uploads for OneDrive.
   

Capturing game clips in Xbox console has made it more convenient because you can capture what just happened or capture what's going to happen next or if you have the new Xbox Wireless controller you can use a single press of the controller's dedicated share button to take a screenshot.
