Hello,

I'm kind of angry since it's been an hour that i'm trying to find out how to cancel a subscription THAT IS NOT YET expired on the Xbox PC platform Application.

But advertised as "you have a past due $$ amount" on the Microsoft Store.

I will start by : I will not pay those "38,99 € past due" since they are not. And also since I wanted to switch from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Xbox Game pass wich is 3.99€/month

I have not played since 7 days, and will not play anything on this platform until this is fixed. So everything I do is strictly legal and is not from Microsoft wich DOES NOT PROVIDE A WAY TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION (there is no button to cancel it, it is also not
advertised as Expired)

An account cannot be advertise different expiration date and you pick wich one you prefer.

As I was sure that something would go wrong with that, and with every other group with not-so-legal-doing, I canceled the auto-renew on paypal the next minute i did subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

So, TLDR :

Microsoft advertise different expiration subscription date on different platform.

Microsoft does not provide such way to cancel subsription.

Microsoft does know that I haven't used their products.

Microsoft realized that they can't charge paiement but instead of canceling it as would any other service do, they just say " oh! by the way, you owe me money ".

Microsoft support cannot be contacted (always getting that AI that actually can't help).

How can i actually cancel the subscription ?

You can cancel your current subscription at http://account.microsoft.com You may want to verify what type of Game Pass you entered. If it's Ultimate, you should still have access to Game Pass on PC.

If it is just Game Pass for console, after you cancel you would have to purchase a Game Pass for PC subscription. It can't be converted to a different type of subscription.

Whenever you upgrade subscriptions, you are charged for the first full month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is added to the converted time from your previous subscription. Paying for the price difference between subscriptions is not possible.

• For example, if you had 90 days remaining of Xbox Game Pass for Console and converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you'd have 68 days from your converted subscription + the first month you paid to upgrade.

While your subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (the second charge) can be canceled, and depending on availability, even refunded, there is no way to revert the conversion from other subscription plans to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Please note that canceling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate would also mean canceling the converted time from your previous subscription, which I'm afraid can't be refunded.

• For your reference, the following is mentioned in the "All about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate" FAQ page:

"Note - The upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Game Pass plans or EA Play, and it’s not eligible for refund."

If you'd still like to cancel Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, sign in at [ https://account.microsoft.com/services ], locate your subscription, and select Manage > Cancel Subscription.

If you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll see an option to cancel immediately with a refund.

• Doing this would cancel both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and the converted time from your previous subscription.

• Any refund issued would only be for the month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you paid to do the upgrade.
