    When buying Gold,the option is there but grayed out. The option to buy games and other stuff with it is still there though.

    Anyone know why, or how to bypass the issue?

    Need Help!!!

    I bought for 20€ microsoft money at gamestop and the guy from gamestop told me i could also buy 3 months gold with the money from the microsoft account. So i went home and wanted to buy it but every time i go to the payment options i cant click on the option
    to buy it with the microsoft money. It only says on the right side: Use your money from the microsoft account to buy xbox live gold. For more information go to commerce.microsoft.com . Then i go to this website but i cant find any information for how to buy
    xbox live gold with the money from my microsoft account. Can somebody help me? PS: I havent got any other payment option on my xbox live profile.

    It's not possible to purchase gold with currency on your account. Gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid card in a store.

    Just to add... I think I found the crux of the issue.

    My XB1 does not see a XBL Gold subscription

    My Xbox account on the web does not see a XBL Gold subscription

    HOWEVER, my Microsoft account sees the XBL Gold subscription

    Talking to chat now, hopefully this can be figured out, heh

    As of right now, yes, they will need to have a gold account to get online...

    If you only plan on buying one FAMILY XB1.... YOU will need to be the only gold account and they can be silver....

    IF you plan on getting an XB1 and buying ONLY one XB1, your best bet would be to just buy them on a monthly gold for like $10/mnth or pick up some MS points cheap as they are getting discontinued... and buy a monthly sub till you get the XB1

    it might not be that the card linked to your gold renewal is expired but that you have no cash in that account as i discovered ...... my card isnt expired but i only put cash in that account when my xbl gold runs out or is due to run out but yeah buying
    via points will work every time as it still allows you to buy MS points from the second card
