Can't buy BC games on XBOX One store or in webstore or claim my free Gold BC games

I tried chat support ant the person there was totally worthless. Not entirely sure it wasn't a chatbot, although repeatedly claimed it wasn't.

Called and talked to a person, but the only solution offered was to go out and buy an xbox 360 so I could claim them. I guess after making the purchase I should be able to play on XBOX One?

I am not finding much on the web about this error, but it seems to be old and related to copyright regions. I gave my XBOX 360 to my nephews who live outside the US when I bought an XBOX one. I don't think they are using my account though. Is that what
is causing the issue? I can hardly believe this error is two years old and Microsoft has not fixed it.

BF 1943 is what I wanted to buy, but I was also going to download the mickey game that is supposed to be free this month for my nieces to play when they visit.

I can’t get backwards compatible games with gold

For some reason I can’t get backwards compatible games with gold. I got a recent answer stating that I either need to have a debit/credit card or have an adult account to get free BC games with my gold membership. I have a debit card that I use to buy games
off of the store, but I still can’t get BC games with gold. I’ve been trying for months but still couldn’t get one BC game. The only way I can get backwards compatible games is to buy them with money, but I can’t get them for free using my gold when the sales
are going on. Please help.

 

360 games aren't working

If you are trying to buy BC games via the Xbox One console you need to have a payment method in place for that store, either a card or PayPal. Without that payment method in place you can't buy or download. You also should be able to buy directly from a
360 console.

For the other issue, try going into settings and clearing the 360 cache and see if that helps.

360 BC games previously downloaded shouldn't require Gold, only the Xbox One games do.

You should be able to do it right from the website or on your console. Are you getting the error on your browser? Have you tried on your console?

Unfortunately it is not possible to use credit on your account to purchase Xbox 360 games even the free Xbox 360 Games with Gold Games on an Xbox One. If you load a bank card or credit card to your account it should then allow you to complete the purchase.
Please note with the Xbox 360 Games with gold when you add it to your cart it will show your payment method but the cost should be listed as Free against the title.

 

I get this error in browser and on console

 

I am not using credit. There is no credit on my account. I have a CC linked. I purchased an XBOX one game with it this morning.

 

My error is the same one posted here, but I also do not have a 360. XBOX support was unable to offer a solution. This error in one form or another seems to have been around since 2016. I had this problem before, but there weren't many BC games at the
time and none I was too excited about. If one can get a single 360 game on their XBOX One console it seems to resolve the problem, but you need to buy a game using an XBOX 360 console then download on XBOX one. If you don't have a 360 you are out of luck.

Gamespot has them for $80 and I think they have a 30 day no questions return. I guess I could buy one then return.

I wish I had known the details of this a month ago. Just bought a Roku for one of my other TVs and could have simply bought a 360.

The fact that you're getting a Runtime Error suggests that this is a cache issue. Please try doing a factory reset on the console (there's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them).

For your PC I would recommend clearing the cache of the browser or try a different browser.

 

The First thing You must have in your account is a credit or debit card to buy It, If You have a credit/debit card and You are having issues to buy It from your console so You have to buy It from your Pc/smartphone/another device with your Microsoft Account,
If It also doesn't work so the only thing You can do is buyin' It from Xbox 360, there is no other Way. Your account may not be a child account but If It were so You would have to do It from Xbox 360 anyway.

I already paid for the game as part of the gold package, but XBOX is not allowing me to download it.

Are you using the same account you previously used on the 360?
