    Can't buy Alan Wake...what gives?


    Been trying to buy Alan Wake, but can't. Tried the store via console and site and even though you can find the game in both stores selecting buy does nothing. I was however able to download it's DLC but not the game itself. Anyone else have this issue?

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently unable to purchase Alan Wake for the Xbox 360.

    In regards to this game, when I search up the title, I display a

    page     that does not provide the option to purchase the title. I do see that the DLC is being displayed as free, but the game does not provide any options to purchase this.

    This would indicate the game is correctly not available at the moment. This could have something to do with the developers of the title Remedy have acquired the license from Microsoft, so this may be a developer choice
    to remove from the store.

    This may also indicate that you may no longer be able to acquire this game if you did not purchase it before in the past.

    Potentially this could be associated with the Xbox Live status as stated by Xbox Forums Ambassador luissolid.

    It would be best to try again some other time, once the service returns to normal.

    Nothing, even tried different regions and same thing. Shows the game but the option to buy isn't present. Tried multiple BC games and the buy prompt appears but it seems that only Alan Wake doesn't allow purchase.

    I agree, it's been too long. Need my Alan Wake fix. Either AW2 or the OG. Really wishing I hadn't sold it when the XO launched. There was no BC at the time and honestly didn't think we'd have it after that "steller" launch hahaha. Well, serves me right.
    Now I have to track down a physical copy and none of the stores have it.
