Can’t buy a free 360 game on Xbox One

It’s been 6 months I can’t buy a free (with gold) 360 game on my Xbox One, every time it says "add a payment method" even if it’s free.

The problem is that I already have 3 different payment methods (2 cards and paypal) registered on my account (and at the beginning of this bug, I had tried to delete each of them and add them again).

Xbox Support told me 6 months ago it will be fixed, but I’m still missing free games with gold because of this bug.

Did someone found a way to fix it ?

Hi There,

If you have access to your Xbox 360 you might need to change your payment details on there so that they match what's on the Xbox One/your Microsoft account.

Try purchasing them from a different device. I always purchase them from my PC and have never had an issue.

Try to purchase them from the Xbox website.

When I click on the trueAchievements link it brings me on the marketplace and the game isn’t free :/ (Lego Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy, in this case).

My console have been hard reset and/or factory reset, but this problem is still there.

You can do it in your browser on phone/PC. TrueAchievements have a direct link to the store pages if you're struggling.

Also: have you tried hard resetting your console? Sounds like a caching issue
