Can't build in Starlight Drive-in

I have been searching for a solution for this for a while now. I have done the quest line to settle Starlight and I have access to the workbench. However, I can only enter build mode if I'm behind (or inside) the shed with the workbench. If I cross into
the parking lot it says I've left the build area and boots me out of the build mode. Has anyone else encountered this? The only solution I have been able to find for it is for the PC version with a console command. I am playing the up-to-date version (at least
it doesn't say I need to update when I launch it) and I have no mods installed.

Fallout 4 material bug

when i play fallout 4 i am trying to build a recruitment radio beacon in the sanctuary, but i need circuitry so i go to the starlight drive-in and get some. BUT when i fast travel back it says 1/2 circuitry but i actually have 5/2, i got confused so i went
back to starlight and made sure that i have more than 2 circuitry and i fast travel'd back to the sanctuary and it says again 1/2, does anyone else have this bug? i just want more settlers to the sanctuary

Nope. It looks like Starlight will remain undeveloped for me.

 

I haven't experienced this but it appears to be a bug on multiple platforms related to patch 1.6. I've seen a suggestion to blow up the cars in the parking to be able to build there, also if you are willing and able can use the console can use this command:

resetquest patch_1_6

though the console command is at your own risk since it can possibly break the quest.

I recommend waiting for Bethesda to patch the bug.

 

Hmm must be new bug. I had no problems. Of course I finished my first playthru about 6 weeks ago. And I am waiting for the last dlc to drop before playing again.

 

You Can wait until Bethesda patch it by themselves or tell them on their site: Bethesda.net
