    Hi,

    Yesterday I purchased a Plantronics RIG 100HX for Xbox One microphone. I run my Xbox One X audio via a Yamaha

    RX-A2050 receiver to speakers, with Bitstream Out Dolby Atmos HDMI on Xbox audio settings. When I plug the RIG 100HX into my controllers 3.5mm jack, it picks it up as if it were headphones, thus making my bitstream out only Dolby Digital or DTS, not Dolby
    Atmos. When I unplug the RIG 100HX, there is no issue.

    If someone could rectify this issue, I would appreciate it.

    Check this Support for adapters that plug into the controller to bypass the 3.5mm input.

    It may assist you.

    There are some settings you can play with on audio output. Once I get my new cable for my A40’s I’ll have to mess with the same settings due to streaming. Are you running an optical audio cable?

    When I look up the Plantronics RIG 100HX it is a gaming headset not just a microphone so it is picking up that you plugged in a headset and making an adjustment.

    Are you plugging in a gaming headset and only wanting the microphone to work on it?
