    Hello guys,

    I'm getting this same message lately when I purchase a content that requires money "Can't authorize the selected payment option" even though I haven't managed or changed the info on the credit card. Can someone please help me. Can't authorize the selected payment? :(

    Is your gamertag set up for the same country that you live in? If not, that could be the issue. Your billing info must match your physical location.

    It's all the same info and everything else. I honestly, don't know what's happening with me not purchasing content on the store. It works with Steam and others, but not with Xbox.

    Is this a regular credit card or a refillable one? Most refillable credit cards do not work with the Xbox Marketplace.

    Have you considered trying Paypal?

    If you are using a regular card and have tried Paypal you may need to contact phone support in regards to billing issues.

    Contact the card issuer and ask if they have any blocked charges on the card. Don't ask if the card is good, ask them to specifically check the activity and see if there's rejected charges.

    Whatever the problem was, it looks like it has now been resolved. I just waited a few days before trying again, and tried authorizing payment over xbox.com so I could download it later on the console, and it seems to have worked.

    Auth Errors are from the bank side. The is a block against reocurring payments on the card. A simple call to your building society and get them to remove the block against your card. I am confident it will work after that.
