    Can’t add Xbox by IP address on mobile app (iOS) in certain international locales


    When I try to add my Xbox One X by IP address in the Xbox app on iOS, it gives me a keypad with a
    comma instead of a period, and I am therefore unable to enter an IP address. My iPhone’s region is set to Germany — I assume this is part of the problem. See attached image…

    Please update the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app to work with iOS 11

    Microsoft, please update the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app to work with iOS 11. Currently it’s incompatible with iOS 11 and therefore can’t be downloaded from the App Store anymore.

    Hi. How could I could be related to:

    1) that I can't also login into Xbox app on iOS, Windows 10 and Android regardless of the IP address until its Ukrainian IP address? I tried different IP addresses.

    2) Why are all of the users in Ukraine affected?

    So, my guess it is not anyone's personal IP, it is bad engineering on Microsoft part.

    You're IP Address could be under a DDoS attack in other words you're IP is being flooded this may cause your internet to disconnect at certain times or it could distract your internal server try changing your IP Address there are 1000s of tutorials on youtube

    I have the same problem with my account.

    I am from Spain with Digi as ISP and I have a dedicated spanish IP address.

    I tried by 4G mobile conection too and I faced the same problem.

    The problem occurs in Android , IOS and Chrome browser.

    I think the problem is in profile/account and not only with IP.

    @DrumBones85 - your public IP address is public, hence the word "public".

    When it comes to TCP/IP, there are certain rules that can't be broken.

    In this situation, you can't do anything with a local, or private IP address, as the private address space can not be routed to the Internet-at-large.

    No one are sniffing this persons network, atleast not the person that are carrying out the attack. He/she (the attacker) sniffs, or analyze its own local traffic.

    NAT devices are known to buffer explicit mappings, or bindings.
