Cant add money from microsoft account balance to family member

I just redeemed a 15€ giftcard on my account to give it to my child but its not letting me use the microsoft account balance. i put the gift card in my account and not his so i can give it to him because there was that thing that says ask your parent to
log in and send atleast 50cents but i could not use microsoft account balance. Please can someone help if like possibly move the 15€ to his account or let me send that to him i really need help.

Hi! Not completely sure on this one, but I think your child would have to redeem the code on her/his account as it's not possible to transfer account balance between profiles (at least to my knowledge).

You're welcome! Depending on what your child would like to use the account balance for, you might be able buy that item as a gift (please note that this doesn't work for everything like microtransactions for example, but it works for most games and add-ons).
For this you simply have to select the 'Buy as a gift' button near the 'Buy' button in the Xbox Store.

You cannot transfer funds but you can still add money to their account with the credit card on file. I do it all the time.
