Pretty much what the title says.

There isn't anyway (that I know of) to access screenshots and game clips on my PC that I have uploaded to the Xbox network using my Xbox. I know I can do this using the Xbox Console Companion, but support for that will end soon. I'm also aware that I can upload my screenshots to Onedrive, but I find that's a bit of a hassle because I can't access them on certain devices, and I can't share it on Xbox.

The main reason I want to be able to access my screenshots open my PC is so I can download and edit them, and I don't want the extra hassle of sending them to myself from my phone when Console Companion is discontinued.

Am I missing something, or is the Xbox App lacking features on PC that are there on mobile?

    :)

Add me to the list of folks who think it's ridiculous that we have to jump through this many hoops to simply access our own XBOX Console screencaps on our own PC. I can see why Microsoft may have wanted to discontinue further support for XBOX Console Companion App. I do not understand why they also needed to disable the pre-existing app.

Please either re-enable the existing app, add the same feature to the XBOX App (on the PC), or give us some other simple mechanism/app. Hint: a USB drive, OneDrive, and phones are NOT that mechanism.

Why is this feature available on my phone, but not the one place it might actually be useful (my PC)? This is exceptionally annoying!

UPDATE: I've recently discovered that, after disabling the only easy way to get screencaps to a PC (XBOX Console Companion), Microsoft is also reducing the amount of time available to do so (to 90 days). Again, I understand why Microsoft is doing this (storage is expensive). However, I don't understand why they won't allow me to directly download screencaps to my PC. Especially, when this capability previously existed.

Hello peachy. The best way to do this, is to use a usb drive or hard drive from xbox, then plug into pc and edit clips.

There is no other way except for one drive.

This only works for me when viewing captures 'On this Xbox console'. If I try and upload clips from the Xbox network to OneDrive it says the upload is complete but nothing actually happens.

How have you taken such a simple process and made it a complete headache. I get using external storage like USB/external HD can do it, but what are we doing here? 2023, and big Microsoft that is known for computers has its users plugging in USBs to transfer game clips from 1 Microsoft device to another Microsoft device.... legit comedy.
