Can't access original xbox live account

For the longest time I did not have internet and was able to play D3 offline. I got internet recently and now it won't even let me play offline. Apparently there is no email attached to my gamertag and I thought maybe creating a new one would put an email
on it but all that did was create a second gamertag. Is there anyway to move the email from the account t I just created to my original one? Cause I'm able to play D3 on my new one but I rather be on my old one

When I get online it tells me bye Mike but Everytime I click go offline it tells me hi Mike. Why does it do this?

Xbox Live Confusion?

Xbox Live is free.

You can make a Gold account, or a Silver account.

The Gold account gives you access to access to play online, along with free monthly games and weekly deals. This has a fee.

The Silver account gives you access to Xbox Live and apps, but you just can't play online or get the free games. This is free.

only the original owner can access the account

Every gamertag is tied to a Microsoft account email address - can you clarify where you're seeing that your gamertag isn't connected to an email address?

The tips in the Forgotten Info guide can help you try to find the email address associated with your gamertag - if you try those are you able to locate that email address?

You can change the email associated with your Origin account, but you need to have access to it first, so if you don't know how to access to EA Origin and you also can't access the email associated with it it would be harder to do so.

First try to gain access to Origin, if you can do it, you can create a new Microsoft Account and associate your Origin account to it.

you can't, buying and selling accounts is strictly forbidden on Xbox, as is accessing accounts that you don't own and didn't originate

Is your brother's account signed in to Xbox Live?

IIRC, the original account needs to be signed in before other users in the same console can access the content.
