Can't access miscrofoft account and no lucky getting support...

I have an issue helping my friend access his account.

Since you have to be logged in to request support or phone calls I'm assisting.

He is currently logged into his Xbox series one and wants access to his account to log into other devices to upgrade to a series x.

But the issue is he forgot his Microsoft password. And also the password to the email he has used for his Microsoft account.

We've been on the phone and web chat for 2 hours now with no avail.

One lady lied and told us she could issue a temporary password and help us log in to add the alias but apparently that not the issue since it's a security feature.

So the ONLY option we were given was the account recovery form....which is the biggest joke I have ever heard of....

We keep getting denied because we haven't used this account in like 10 years and don't remember the "subject lines of previous sent emails" okay

We are logged into the Xbox currently is there no way we can verify console id or any number or anything to get a password or email update because at this point you're leaving us the option of just making a new gamertag and losing years of gaming memories and this isn't the Microsoft and Xbox that we bought and believe in....

No, you want us to log in to the account and we CANNOT

WE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE EMAIL.

The only place it's logged in currently is the Xbox one console.

I don't know what else to tell you dude.

received these from account recovery.

Uploaded and completed the form about 5 different times to which it gives me a 6 digit code to input that DOES NOT work.

No we can't log into the email that has the account gamertag associated with it. Nor can we log into the Microsoft account....

The only place the gamer tag is logged in is the Xbox.

So then saying log in add a new alias doesn't work cause we can't get a code.

They want us to remember subject lines of emails from an outlook account we haven't used in years

Continue the process of account recovery because it is through this way that we can get back the account. Adding alias will not work because you do not have access the account. We suggest, let the owner of the account do the account recovery process and remember as many information as possible. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN.
Under Show on Home, you’ll see the email or phone number you use to sign in. If you enable this setting, this account info will be displayed on your Home screen.

Thank you for your prompt response.

What do you mean 'we do not have access to the email'? Is it the alternate email added in the security information of the account?

If the account is still active and the only issue is you are unable to reset password due to cannot access the verification code, then our option is to recover the account through the account recovery process established by Microsoft, Just to set your expectation that support in community and our live support channel cannot send verification links to reset password because Microsoft account is totally managed and handled by an automated server and we don't have manual access to it because Microsoft really takes our security and privacy very seriously.
