Cant access account info

I wanted to cancel a subscription through the microsoft site. After signing in a pop-up occured that said microsoft is updating its terms & conditions. I hit next. It eventually times out and says an error has occured. I managed to get to a screen that would send a verification code to my phone. It asks me to enter the last 4 digits of my phone number. Once I do that, it says "We couldnt send the code. Please try again." Funny thing is, I actually received the code through text message. So I tried hitting the button that says "I have a code" and input the code that I had received. Still doesn't work. Have never had trouble accessing my account before.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Microsoft account. No worries, let me help you sort this out.

This is quite an odd case, I've also received a similar issue recently. This could be a temporary issue with the server.

For us to isolate the case, kindly try to access your account using different browsers, devices, and even Network services.

Also:

Disable any extensions or try incognito or in-private browsing.

Disconnect from VPN/Proxy servers if you have.

Clearing the cache and cookies of your browser.

You cant use the same email address on two different Xbox Accounts.

As previously stated you would have to pass security for support to assist you with this issue. This is to protect users information and accounts from being stolen. If you cant remember what info you put on the account and cant verify you are the account
holder, then unfortunately you will not be able to access the account. Also, to access your bank account details you need to know some security info, if you know this they yes obviously you can access your bank account. But if you didnt know your info do you
think the bank would let you access the account? No they wouldnt. Same system applies here.

Thanks Hassassinade. I checked my system storage and it was showing that my profile is corrupt. I'll delete and recover it to see if that solves it.

Can you please check your XBOX 360's Storage Device to make sure there are no corrupt or damaged profiles? If there something corrupt then you will need to delete it and then re-download your profile.

See if this solves your issue.

Other steps I have found seem to be related to a Games for Windows LIVE issue (Error 0x8007065B) which seems to indicate a problem with the network firewall.

I do have a few steps I can recommend though. First, clear the system cache on your console, if you are using a wireless internet connection, switch over to wired via ethernet cable if possible, then go into your "Gamer Profiles" folder in your storage settings,
delete your profile (profile only), and then re-download your profile.
