    Hi,
    My brother created his Microsoft account 3 years ago and he did not have access to an email/couldnt create his own. so he used someone else's but he does not have access to it now. He forgot his password as well. Therefore he cannot get a security code to be able to change the password to something he would remember. We have called and filled out MULTIPLE Account Recovery Forms with NO SUCCESS. I know legally the workers at Microsoft just cannot give out info like that, but it still annoys me. He has had this account for 3 years and he has tons of progress saved under it on his Xbox. He just wants to be able to log back in and change his password and email so this will never happen again. I feel like such a nuisance trying to contact you guys in as many ways possible but my brother is very upset. His games are his coping mechanism. He is Autistic and those games are his way of dealing with things. He has been upset for the past 3 days now. If I cannot get his password and get this fixed I will sue. Maybe I'm being overdramatic, but you deal with this. You try to. I dare you. I am just a concerned sibling and would like some help here. Please and Thank You.

    Unfortunately, the standard procedure to recover an account is through the form that you've tried beforehand. Microsoft cannot simply inform you any information about an account because it could (in theory) be that you are passing as someone else, and Microsoft cannot 100% trust any person that requests help to recover an account, because it could be someone with bad intentions. I do understand your situation, and if us (the Community) could do something to help you, you can rest assured that we would. In your case, I'd recommend you to contact the Microsoft Support directly, and check with an agent if there is something that can be done to help you. To contact them, go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, search for an issue similar to yours, and then at the end of the search list, select Contact Support. They are the only ones who would be able to help you a bit in this situation.

    Hi, sorry if i misunderstood your question, but you're saying that you forgot the email password & cannot access the email? If so, click lost password or forgot password, go through the recovery steps & you should get your password back.

    Do you or anyone in your household have access to that email address if so type in the email-address and click on forgot password. That should send an email to you with a code (or a button saying reset password) and use that to reset it.

    I think what you need to do is get the person that owns EP to try and access his email and do the "forgot my password" stuff so that he can then access his email account and then do the changeover from child account to adult account for your GTB. I hope
