Cannot set country for payments

I understand, I did tested in my system and the error is not showing so it might be affecting some users.

I saw the same response whenever someone complained about this issue, which is not what we're trying to do.

As I said in my original post- I'm not trying to change country or region. My country or region haven't changed and has been Canada from the very beginning.

For some bizarre reason, when trying to make a purchase and adding a payment option, the system asks for an address, once again, and won't let me put my address in Canada, which is where the account has always been located.

This seems to be a bug that has not been fixed since the first person I saw reported it in 2019...

If you cannot even choose your country when trying to add payment and billing information your Xbox may be not set up to the country you are living in. So change the language /locale settings to the correct country and try again please.

Yes there are restrictions. Some games cannot be purchased unless the payment method matches your physical location. In this instance because your gamertag is set to US you would need a US payment method.

Other issues you would need to contend with are region issues. Some content cannot be downloaded outside of the country from which it was purchased.
