Cannot resume after shutting down Xbox one

Hi,

First I'll say that this is a great and beautiful game, thank you.

But I have an issue when I try to resume after shutting down the console. When I go back into the game the screen flashes (black screen then the image appears for a sec then back to the black screen and repeat). The music is still playing in the background
though.

To get it to work I have to force quite and restart the game and it usually takes multiple tries to restart with the system going back to home.

I do not have this issue with any of my other games. So what ever is the cause of the issue (game or console) hopefully we will have an update soon.

And now for some positives

Love a suspend / resume game feature, nothing like shutting down the system in the middle of a game then after starting back up the system and pick up right where you left off. Also love saying "Xbox On" and having the Xbox, TV and stereo turn on and be
logged in before I even sit down.

 

Help with Microsoft edge

Why does Microsoft Edge keep shutting down on me 3 to 10 minutes after i open it om Xbox one

 

get a refund this game is broken and will never work properly even with patching

 

I am seeing the same thing. Force quit from home is the only workaround that I can find. You mention it taking a few tries, but you just need to wait 5-10 seconds as it cleans up and exits the program in the background. Should work everytime if you just
give it a moment to finish closing properly.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick update as well.

 

Also, Ninja, this game is amazing. Even if I had to completely reboot my console and do a tap dance each time I wanted to play I would happily. One visible bug aside, this game is beautiful and super fun. Highly recommended!

 

@ISSPjuicedawg, good to know that I'm not the only one with the issue.

And about the multiple tries when restarting, I mainly pointed it out to make the point that: one the game couldn't resume and then it takes a while before you can actually get back in.

@Hollified Ninja, sorry that you were having even more issues with the game or that you do not like it. But I enjoy it and thus hope that they will solve this annoyance quickly.

 

yeah i've had that a few times. I had to force quit the game and restart. IT doesn't like resume for some reason
