    Cannot request a deposit, billing information error


    I have earned 3000 credits with xbox live rewards program, and I want to request a deposit but the site keeps saying that my billing information is incorrect, butI've checked it along with my account region (Italy) and everything is alright. Is there a
    solution?

    I have checked all of my billing information and it is correct, yet I still cannot get a deposit completed on my credits. I always receive the error that my account needs attention.

    Hello Er Buggato,

    Due to your spending in multiple regional currencies, our deposit failed because at the time we attempted our deposit, your Rewards Account region was set to Italy, and your Microsoft Account was using HUF, the regional currency of Hungary. Since we cannnot
    deposit Euro into a Hungarian account, the deposit failed. In order to make sure your deposit completes successfully, you will have to keep your Microsoft Account and Rewards account regions in the same location.

    There is currently an internal issue with the data stored for your account which is preventing a deposit. Our deposit process cannot correctly determine the primary billable account to deposit into for your Microsoft Account. This is causing the deposit
    to be directed toward the incorrect billing information. When this information does not match your Rewards Account, the deposit fails. This is an issue that we are working on resolving with another team. At the moment, we have not received a estimate on when
    this problem will be resolved. To be clear, this is a data issue, and not the result of any faulty user input. The prompt asking you to update your information is a symptom of this error, and adjusting your information will, in most cases, not resolve this
    issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    It looks like the information we are receiving from billing caused you to be labeled as Canadian, which is why we deposited into CAD for your account. Unfortunately, once Credits are deposited, we cannot take action on them. You may wish to reach out to
    billing support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) and have them investigate your account. This information reporting you with Canadian billing is also why your deposits have been failing; when we attempted to deposit USD from your US Rewards
    Account, into your Canadian billing account, the process failed. We have been working with another team on resolving deposit issues, which is why this deposit succeeded. We have no power over billable accounts, and cannot adjust your billing accounts in any
    way. Apologies for any inconvenience.

    Hello Nels,

    We cannot complete a deposit of USD from your US registered Rewards Account and your GBR region Microsoft Account, which will only accept the GBP currency. This means that in order to resolve this issue, you have two options. You need to either adjust your
    Microsoft Account to match your Rewards Account, or create a new Rewards Account to match your new Microsoft Account region.





    1) You can adjust your Microsoft Account region to match your Rewards region from your commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com). This
    will cause your regions to match and allow your currency to be deposited.





    2) The second option of Creating a brand new account has some pros and cons. The benefit of creating a new Rewards Account is that your new account will be set to track and Reward purchases made in your Microsoft Account's regional currency. The drawback
    is that you will lose the previous progress you have made on your account, as you will be creating a brand new Rewards Account. While we will be able to transfer any pending (un-deposited) Credits from your old Rewards Account, we will not be able to transfer
    any other progress.





    If you wish to continue with Rewards in your current Microsoft Account region and create a new account, you must first close your current account by opting out of the program at (https://rewards.xbox.com/optout/).
    You will have to wait 48 hours for us to receive and process your request, after which your account should show up as completely clean of progress and have a join by date of "???". At that point, you can create a new Rewards Account by signing back up again,
    which can also take 48 hours. To confirm that you have re-registered correctly, you can check your join date from the MyRewards page at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).
    If your join by date still shows "???", and not a recent registration date, then your account has not yet been re-registered. If you open a new post after being able to log in to your new Rewards account, you can request any pending deposits from your old
    account to your new one.

    Unfortunately, we have still not received a resolution from our other team tasked with resolving this issue. I cannot see any past posts for this gamertag, so I'm not sure of how up to date you are with the error, so I may repeat some information you already
    know. Currently your deposit cannot complete due to an error with how our database is sending information. What is occurring is that your billable account information is being sent without one of your billable accounts being tagged as the intended account
    for the deposit. When our deposit process accesses your information and does not receive instructions on where the deposit is intended to be placed, it aborts rather than deposit into an unspecified account. This is also what is causing our system to ask you
    to verify your information. Since your billable account information is being reported as blank to our deposit process, it assumes that is because the user has not input this information. To be clear, this is not due to your input and is most likely due to
    this error. Since this is a issue with the database, we cannot resolve this problem with our support tools and must rely on a more specialized team to provide assistance. As mentioned, at this time we have not yet received their solution for this issue. In
    the meanwhile, we will continue to attempt a deposit into your account in the hopes that it successfully forces a deposit. Apologies for the inconvenience that this error is causing.
