    Cannot rent or download films from XBox movies from my laptop


    I have the xbox app on my laptop but cannot rent or download films, even though I have internet connection and have logged in. When I try to purchase or rent it comes up with the following message: "sorry the xbox service is not available right now. Can't
    do that because of a temporary server condition. Please try again later" I have tried to Google a solution and have tried everything to rectify this but nothing seems to be working. Please can anyone help with this? Thank you in advance.

    First try to update you Windows OS the last version, after that update your apps on the microsoft store.

    Windows 10 is up to date    . If the update does not resolve the issue, we recommend performing

    a clean boot    . Are you able to complete the purchase on a different device? Be sure to let us know the results!
    Thank you for your reply. I am using Windows 8.1 and it is up to date, if that's any help. To be honest a clean boot is the last thing I really want to do as everything is working okay on my laptop, nor do I really have another device to complete the purchase.
    If there is no other way, I'll just leave it. Thank you very much for your quick reply, though.

    Just a quick update to state that instead of trying to rent or purchase a film through the Xbox app on my laptop, I have used the Microsoft store instead as this works for me. The Microsoft has the same titles of films that are available on the Xbox app
    and once I purchased a film to rent, it opened via the Xbox app so my problem is now sorted.
