Cannot remove or re-pair Xbox Elite controller. All online fixes attempted and failed.

It seems like you have exhausted all the possible troubleshooting steps here on community for you to be able to fix your issue and I really appreciate that one. This looks like a hardware issue already; it would be the best if you reach out our dedicated Xbox Live support. They have a better view than us here on community and if your controller is still under warranty, they can also help you with the repair which we cannot do here on community.

Please follow the steps below to reach out to our live support team:

1. Please use this link: Contact us | Xbox Support
2. Scroll down and look at the lower left side if you can see the page matches the country/region you are currently located.
3. If not, please select the country/region it is showing and select the correct one among the lists.
4. Make sure to use to check the available contact times of the support.
5. Select the "Contact Us" button
6. Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.
7. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
8. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.
9. If you cannot get connected to the support, please use the Virtual Agent and enter this exact phrase, "Talk to an agent".
10. Should you be encountering issues contacting support, you may try InPrivate Window of your browser, other browser, different device/s or connect to different network.

I have the same issue:

* the plain Xbox controller (non elite) connects via bluetooth to the TV and is recognised by the Xbox cloud app on my Samsung TV. I can use it to play games using the Samsung Xbox app.

* the brand new Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects via bluetooth to the TV and is NOT recognised by the Xbox cloud app.

I tried several attempts deleting the pairing, re-pairing. Turn off TV on the power switch. Re-installing the Xbox app on the Samsung TV.

The result is always the same:

* The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects successfully to the TV and is shown as Paired and Connected in the Samsung TVs feature where you add external devices.
* But the Xbox app shows the yellow ! exclamation mark and does not recognise the Elite Controller.

I’ve paired my other non Elite standard Xbox controller now vie Bluetooth and USB, which works both.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! Were sorry to hear about your issue. Before we begin the troubleshooting process, have you already removed the controller from your pc devices and then attempted to re-pair the controller?

How are you?
Check that your bluetooth driver is up to date and turn off the controller by holding the Xbox button until it goes out, remove the controller from paired devices and re-pair.

Re-pair the controller may fix that. Or power cycle the console.
