Cannot redeem my promotion codes for Dues Ex

Hi

I pre ordered dues ex Mankind Divided, and it said I would receive Dues ex Human Revolution and the The Link free as a bonus

However The codes supplied to me by message centre below do not work as I am in a different region from my billing address, and I have been told the codes are region specific

I have already spoken with customer support who directed me to the promotions teams, I only pre ordered this upcoming game because of the promotion

Please help as I have already been billed for this

Gamestop opening new games now..

I think they did that with Dues Ex Human Revolution to remove the redeem token for the Onlive PC version of the game.

I had the same problem, which was really confusing for me to start with, I couldn't do anything online because the xbox one wanted me to accept updated terms and conditions to start with, when it did this I got a error which stopped me connecting to live, and although I could browse the web I couldn't get on the live service

to get round this I went to the xbox live account on my pc and accepted them there - it then worked instantly.

however from previous threads it seems like your already on live.

Never ever post codes on forums someone would redeem them and you lose the code

Ok your account region must reflect your actual region and you need to add a same billing option

You must do this on this website using the region migration tool

Under my account and change my region then you must change your console region

Also you must call support to take care of the split billing issue

For future reference it is best to use your actual region and enter the correct billing info not different PayPal info

 

The codes aren't region specific the games are

The only way to solve it is to use your actual region

If you don't live in an xbox live region you cannot get the content

 

Dues ex is region locked the lock is the game itself

Hmmm you might want to flag it yourself quicklly

Only prepaid codes like currency or membership cards are region locked

Game codes however aren't

They pull the region from your account region if it doesn't match your actual location it won't work

And yes 360 games do check your physical location

 

Not available in your region or 8015017 are all region errors

 

Edited the codes out the original post. Sometimes it happens when folks don't realize it posts publicly. Removed em though so all good.

 

Ok I went through custermor support twice, and was told to post it on this forum, what I dont understand WHO ACTUALLY WORKS FOR XBOX HERE ?

Because I asked the woman at custormer support why carnt they resolve this.

Regarding billing my billing address is the UK, but I live in China, I have bought paid for and downloaded games without any problems.

So back to my original problem which has still not been resolved,

 

WHY DID I PAY MONEY NOW TO PRE ORDER THIS GAME TO FIND i CANNOT RECIEVE THE PROMOTION CONTENT

DOES THIS MEAN THAT ANYBODY WHO ACTUALLY LIVES IN THE UK WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM

ALSO MY ACCOUNT ON MY XBOX IS UK SAME AS MY BILLING ACCOUNT

Official support members will have a mark on their gamercard to show that they are official support members. Official support hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm PST.

Your issue is because your account is set for the UK but you are in China. Those games are not available for download in China. You would have to physically be in the UK in order to download the games. So no, not everyone in the UK would have the same issue.
There is no way around region locking.

 

I have puchased and downloaded games from the UK store before without any problems as I was told to set my region on the console to UK the same as my billing address

So does that mean I will not be able to download the actual game when it is available ?

looks like i am going to call customer service again because, I have not heard anything officail or any way to solve this problem on this forum, which I was told was xbox promotion team and the best way to reslove this problem, up to now it seems like I
am wasting my time, and I still dont know who I am am talking too, sorry if I seem a little angry but this is just ridiculus

 

You'll only run into this issue on region locked content. Which is why there is some content you can download and some you can't. It's more of an issue with 360 games as One games are not region locked. So you shouldn't have any issues downloading the new
game.

 

Ok I understand that for the upcoming game, I will be fine and will hopefully be able to download, but as the promotion content is under Xbox360 i cannot recieve the original game Human Revoltions and the extra episode " Missing Link" because they are region
locked
