Cannot receive game invite or party invite, my account specifically (tested using a friend)

I am sorry you are having an Account Issue (hint to my colleagues, she says it happens on her friend's console as well).

It is not hard to get your account notifications out of sync with so many applications (and more being added like Discord) that access them.

And make sure via the web that all of your settings are as you wish. Then think back to if you added any new application/program/game about when the problem started (and before).

ive already done that, so i guess contacting microsoft really is my only option

If you could, try test your notification on another Xbox to see if the problem is specifically with your account. Then i would contact someone with microsoft Here.

my router has always worked fine, and as i said, my friend tried receiving invite on my account at his home and didnt get any, its not a router problem but an account one

If you go to settings on preferences there os notifications you can choose which one you want to recieve
