    Cannot purchase Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC


    Hello, I can't purchase the new Forsaken DLC through Xbox Game store, or the in game director? Someone shine some light on this for me? I've done everything I could, unistalled, reinstalled, reset router, I have all the previous DLC's.

    Destiny 2 DLC

    Hi, to play Forsaken on destiny 2, you also need the Curse of Osiris and Warmind. As you own Destiny 2 already, you will have to purchase The Expansion pass, which will give you the 1st two dlc, and then purchase the Forsaken dlc seperately.

    Destiny 2 DLC

    I want to play the Forsaken DLC on Destiny 2 but do not own the other DLCs required to play it. Which expansion do I purchase then to get the Forsaken DLC? I see the legendary collection that has all the DLCs but I already own Destiny 2--will that cause
    an issue? Or do I purchase the Destiny 2 expansion pass or purchase each dlc separately?

    Ok, too bad.

    Does the DLC show up in the store ?

    If yes:

    1. Does have a button to purchase ?
    2. Does it give an error message (or code) when you try to buy it ?

    In store it says the DLC is not sold separately, but I CAN buy the 60$ Version for everything all over again. I already have the base game, and the two previous DLC's, I just need this new DLC. In game it gives me a code saying "!Query Failed: Could not
    establish connection to the Xbox Games Store. New Silver Purchases will update when you next sign in."

    Which I've signed in and out multiple times and still same error code.

    Do you have a Windows 10 computer ?

    If so, you can try to login to the Windows store (or to the store in the xbox app).

    When you are in the store can you try to buy it from there ?

    It says for just the DLC: Destiny 2: Forsaken is currently not available.

    Like even on Microsoft it wants me to purchase the whole game, and dlc's again. which as I stated before, I have the game and previous two dlcs, but not this 1 dlc, I don't think I should have to play another 70-100$ plus for things I already have.

    Destiny 2 forsaken annual pass

    The Annual pass is an addition of three content packages that requires the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion.

    Destiny 2 Forsaken is a combo that includes Expansion I and Expansion II, It also includes an instant Character Level jump to 30.

    Unfortunately as you have noted, you cannot play the DLC without owning the Forsaken package

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist, it sounds like you're trying to purchase a DLC for the game Destiny 2. For some DLC content purchases they require that you have the pre-requisite DLC already purchased in order to buy it. Is the said DLC the
    Forsaken DLC    ? I recommend reaching out to the Destiny 2 developers for help with purchasing the DLC. Please let us know how it goes.

    Issue redeeming a Gift

    Just wanted to follow up on this for anyone else that should search and run into a similar issue.

    After a few MS support chats it was discovered that you need to own all the DLC first.

    The error in our case was caused by the fact that Destiny 2 and destiny 2 Forsaken are considered different games. If you own Destiny 2 and its DLC you cannot redeem the second season pass if you dont own the game Destiny 2 Forsaken as again its classed
    as a different game apparently.

    I failed to realise the season pass for Forsaken doesn't include forsaken...

    So in short if anyone else has a similar issue check if you can redeem the pass if you dont own the base game, even if the base game is now a piece of DLC.
