    Cannot purchase any content


    Hello we would appreciate any help anyone could give us. We are trying to purchase a game on the 360 but keep getting an error message saying ," Couldn't get authorization .Use a different way to pay or check to see if address is correct ." Status code
    "80167611" . We did recently move and have changed banks but both sets of information has been changed here on the website. I'm at a loss. Also forgive if this question has been asked and answered here . I didn't see a forum search feature

    Child account cannot purchase ANY content even though settings are correct

    I have chatted to an online agent with regards to this issue under service request 1288666194. And I would like updates.

    Basically, the issue is that my son's account cannot make a purchase of any content, even free content and demos, and receives an error message stating "Purchase of this content is currently not allowed for child and teen accounts."

    I have checked the settings on my parent account and purchasing is allowed but he cannot make any purchases and I cannot do it under his account on xbox.com either.

    Hi there,

    the items he is trying to use, were they bought with his account or a different account?

    Only the account that bought the content is able to redownload it to a console.

    Also be aware that if licenses were transferred from one console to another they will still be downloaded with the owner account to make sure the licenses are on the console.

    Bought a used bundle. Cant play downloaded games.

    You would have to purchase the games on your account in order to have the games. Digital content cannot be transferred between accounts.

    When you purchase content it is tied to the account that purchased it. On the One, any account can use the content as long as you have the console set as your Home console. If the previous owner removed that console as their Home console, you would no longer
    have access to the content. Since you are not the owner of the games, you cannot retrieve them.

    With digital add-on type content it tends to be bound to the account purchasing it or transacting the code. This is especially true for coin type currency in any game that cannot be shared or transferred.
