Cannot play or install Gears 5 Ultimate

Hello,

I need some help, thank you in advance:

1. Yesterday I downloaded the Xbox (Beta) app and then Gears 5 Ultimate.

2. The download went fine and after done, I launched the game.

3. It booted fine but after reaching the main menu I got some error message (couldn't see what it was as I miss-clicked it by accident), and the game shut down.

4. After that, I tried launching the game again but nothing happened, and I attempted this around 10 times with no luck.

5. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but now it stays stuck on "Preparing":

I tried resetting my PC and reinstalling the Xbox (Beta) app, no luck.

I had the same problem, download the latest version of windows 10 updated 10/5/2020.then reinstall xbox games pass pc ( beta)

then delete gears 5 and then try to download again using games pass beta . It should now reinstall the upgraded version of gears 5

do not reinstall or do a clean version of windows 10 . Its microsofts not doing enough to keep you informed.

It tells you on the game on the bottom right you need the updated windows 10 to run the game

Windows 10 is up to date. We have a support article that provides troubleshooting for

game installations on Windows 10. If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend performing

a clean boot. A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether

I am having trouble with your Gears of War 5 release. I upgraded my xbox game pass account to xbox game pass ultimate and pre installed Gears of War 5. When I tried playing at midnight, the game was not allowed to be played. Not only that I was
not able to play it, it did not download the ultimate edition with all the character packs that go along with it. I tried then installing it on my PC and it was downloading all the dlc that came with the ultimate edition. What is going on with the release
of gears of war 5 on xbox?

I did not pre order using my credit, but i installed gears 5 ultimate edition in the microsoft store, how do i cancel that as in the store it does not show that the pre ordered gears 5 ultimate edition
