Cannot play my copy of Halo wars 2.

    Cannot play my copy of Halo wars 2.


    I purchase Halo wars 2 Ultimate edition back on February 15th or 16th and am trying to play it on my laptop.

    I was able to download and install it just fine but everytime I attempt to launch the game it loads a big screen that says HALO then shortly after it says "check your account, Halo is currently unavailable to you, error code 0x803F8001 incase you need it".

    I have tried running WSReset.exe, I have tried the Powershell execution. I have tried installing to my C: and D: drives. I have tried signing in and out of my PC account, and the windows store account. I meet the recommended specs. I meet the Required
    direct x info, I have ran the tool that identifies errors on windows 10 apps and fixes them(forgot what its called, xbox support had me run it).

    Every app is up to date, and windows 10 is up to date.

    Specs: Windows 10 64bit version 15603

    Intel i7-7700HQ processor at 2.8GHZ(boosts to 3.8GHZ)

    16gb of ram.

    Nvidia 1050 TI at 4GB of DDDR5 memory.

    direct x 12(feature levels 12_1, 12_0, 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1

    Hopefully this cant get resolved asap.

    I have contacted xbox support, Microsoft support, and windows support and Not a single on has helped.

    p.S I live in America so there shouldn't be a problem. with something not being available.

    Halo Wars 2 trouble

    I bought an xbox one that came with a disc copy of halo wars 2 ultimate edition and a digital copy of halo wars definitive edition. On the windows store, it says that I own halo wars definitive edition and all of halo wars 2's dlc, yet it does not give me
    the option to download halo wars 2 on pc. I thought halo wars 2 was an xbox play anywhere game? Do I have to have it fully installed on the xbox for it to work?

    Hi there! you're right, I preorder a physical copy of the game, only because here in italy we cannot buy the limited edition in shops like Gamestop ecc.. so the only way to have it must be ebay or amazon.

    Hey there

    I dont understand. If it is a Physical copy then you have the game on the disc, so you just have to put the game in your console whenever you want to play. If you mean this because of the play anywhere, this only applies with digital copies, so you wont
    be able to download the digital copy of halo wars 2 if you have a physical copy. That edition comes with halo wars 1 remaster as digital and halo wars 2 as physical.

    Yes, it will work on your PC. Halo Wars 2 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you will always be able to play it on both your console, and your PC for as long as it is the digital copy, not a physical copy.
