Cannot play multiplayer because of how your Microsoft Account is set up- on Minescraft on PS5

Minecraft runs through Xbox Network services, even on PlayStation, so you have to setup the Microsoft account/Xbox profile correctly in order to access multiplayer modes. This is not configured through PlayStation or the Sony account; as stated in the error, it's because of how the Microsoft account is set up.

Follow the steps on aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp to ensure multiplayer is allowed:

Go to http://account.xbox.com/ and log in with your parental account. Click on Profile from the menu across the top. On your profile page, click on Privacy Settings .

On this page, you should see your name and the Microsoft Gamertag of your child. Click on their name/picture.

Click on Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety right below the player names/profiles. If you want them to play with other people in general, you will need the multiplayer permission set to 'Allow.'   You will see "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live" - this needs to be set to “Allow”

It is possible that the multiplayer feature for the game on PS5 is blocked due to parental controls on your Microsoft account. To resolve this issue, you can check the parental controls settings on your Microsoft account and ensure that online multiplayer is allowed for the game. Additionally, you can try logging out of your Microsoft account on the PS5, restarting the console, and then logging back in to see if that resolves the issue.

it is possible that it is the privacy settings.

To change the privacy settings your account must be an adult account, otherwise you will not have access.

if your account is for a child, you need an adult account to link your account and manage your privacy settings

It says this when I try to play online, “you cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft account is set up”

It didnt help, the message that comes up is "you cannot play online multiplayer because of how your account is set up"

I made my account year ago and i left so i dont know what happened but when im back and im playing Minecraft PocketEdition in multiplayer it say that i cannot join servers because of "You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft
account is set up." Help?
