    i have an xbox i play regularly with friends where i also message alot. about a month ago i downloaded the xbox app and used it for parties when i didnt have a mic or to message friends when i wasnt on the console. this morning i wake up to find that when
    i try to message a friend it doesnt allow me and tells me "access to feature blocked: you cant access this feature because of how your account is set up. you can change this by modifying your privacy settings on xbox.com". but when i go to xbox.com in my
    privacy settings, there is no setting with any options about messaging friends. i am using an iphone 6 and the app is up to date.

    You may need to check your reputation to see if you have been banned from communicating on xbox. If this doesn't work, you may want to try uninstalling the app and trying to log into it again.
