Cannot make Xbox purchases via Xbox store app or on PC

Discus and support Cannot make Xbox purchases via Xbox store app or on PC in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I just shelled out ~$530 for a brand new Xbox today.     I just shelled out ~$530 for a brand new Xbox today. I cannot make a purchase through either the store app or on the Microsoft store page on my PC.

    I'm incredibly unhappy, to put it very mildly. I've gone through every loop I could think of, up to renewing game pass and LIVE subscriptions (curiously enough, Microsoft is glad to take my money for that).

    But purchases for games through the store?

    Nope.

    I have a $500 paperweight and I'm not happy.

    Any advice? Or am I screwed?

    Are you getting an error when you try to purchase on the Xbox and PC webpage?
    If yes, which one?
    If I understood well, it doesn't work for in-game content?

    nope, if purchased via Microsoft store then you need to load up on an Xbox console with an Xbox account that is linked to an epic account then it will sync, you cannot just purchase on the Microsoft store via pc and have it auto transfer to the epic account.

    Fortnite Purchases for PC cannot be done using the Microsoft Store. You can only do that via the Epic Games website. The Microsoft Store purchases are for the Xbox versions of the game only.

    to see if there are any issues with the payment option(s), please correct where needed.

    if all information is correct and to what region they are connected. The region they are connected to must match your account region, which you can see here:

    https://live.xbox.com/Account/BillingAccountInformation

    If these don't match then this is a possible cause for the issues.

    If all information is correct and the regions for account, payment option and your physical location all matches, but you are still experiencing issues then I suggest contacting Xbox Support via the Phone or Support Chat options at

    so they can look deeper into the issues you are experiencing.

    Also make sure you have a valid credit card on file. You need one to purchase or download 360 games.
