Cannot make in-game purchase with Microsoft Account balance

When I try to make an in-game purchase in World of Tanks for Xbox 360, using a combination of my Microsoft Account balance plus a credit card or PayPal, I get error status code 801908843.

If I make a purchase with just a credit card, it works. If I make a purchase with Microsoft Account plus credit card, it fails.

Probably a stupid question

If you are purchasing Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One you have to use a credit card or Paypal. You cannot use a pre-existing balance on your Microsoft account. If you want to use that balance, then you need to purchase it on the Xbox 360 first.

Yes, account balance can be used to purchase game pass, i just purchased it today part of it was paid with a partial balance i had on my microsoft account and the rest was paid with my paypal account.

 

You might want to reach out to Wargaming (the devs) to see if this is a known issue on their end.

The error code you quoted has too many digits, it should be eight digits in length, and thus I cannot find any information on it. Maybe when you can give us the correct error code it will be clearer what the issue is, whether it is in fact on the MS/Xbox
end.

 

Correction, it is status code 80190843. What does it mean?

 

Have had the same problem all day even after its bee resolved just added money and now i can buy anything except with credit card.
