    Cannot join friend on cloud gaming?


    I am on xbox series S, so is my friend. He has msfs2020 standard installed, I do not. I am trying to use cloud gaming to join him but i keep getting error code (0x87e10019) and it says "you need the xbox series X/S version of the game to join this game session". This hasn't been an issue before, any ideas?

    Hi Anderson,

    Thank you so much for your response and advise but I already did this and the issue still persists my friend is facing the same issue we cannot join any friends because when the post to select if you want to play on Stream or your PC will close the game on the cloud and you instantly lose access to the invite or join option.

    I can play cloud gaming normally but when I try joining friends xbox game bar says I don't have controller connected

    So another of my friends updated the Xbox App and now even he cannot join me.
    We did every fix you said and the problem still persists...

    So new update absolutely demolished cloud gaming x pc join compatibility
    Another Microsoft Update breaking things moment.

    The host of the world may have it so that `friends of friends` cannot join which means you cannot join because you are not on the hosts friend list.

    Xbox Cloud Gaming not working

    If you are game sharing from a friend, then you cannot access cloud gaming. Cloud gaming only works for the person who has the subscription, not the one who is game sharing it.

    I invited a friend but he is not able to join the game. He keeps getting the message "Cannot join game because you are not friends with anybody in the game."
