Cannot interact with Minecraft menu

    Cannot interact with Minecraft menu


    Whenever I open the game the narrator is on even though it is off in my settings. The game then will not allow me to interact with the menu at all. This is absolutely infuriating and the controller is working perfectly. I have also tried uninstalling the game to no avail.

    What's your Xbox console model?
    When did the issue start to occur?
    Are you able to play your other games just fine without this narrator problem?

    Also, aren't you able to even navigate through the Minecraft game settings?

    To answer your questions I’m on an Xbox Series S. The issues started in late 2022 at some time but I wasn’t on the game rarely ever so I’m not quite sure. Every other game works perfectly it’s only Minecraft and the left stick works on the menu but I cannot use the A or Start buttons to actually select anything if that helps.

    Got it. Because I wanted you to check the settings to turn the narrator off. Could you try to connect your controller using a USB cable instead and see if it works on Minecraft?

    I just checked and it only loads slow the first time you browse through the the menus.

    Hi,

    I would recommend power cycling your console and seeing if this fixed your issue.

    1. Hold the power button for 10 seconds

    2. Wait 30 seconds

    3. Power on your console

    4. Try Minecraft again.
