Cannot Install Newly Purchased Game on PC

Hello,

I recently purchased Assassin's Creed Odyssey for Windows 10/11 for a discounted price on the webstore at this link: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/assassins-creed-odyssey?launchStore=BW9TWC8L4JCS#purchaseoptions

However now, I am unable to install the game to my computer from this link: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/p/BW9TWC8L4JCS/0001, the webstore, as it says its only available to install on Xbox One or Series X/S, and I own neither. It does say I own the game however. Is this game not available for install on PC? If so, why is there an dropdown option at the first link that says Windows 10/11?

I also see that in the Xbox app, Assassin's creed odyssey is available to play on game pass on the PC. It does not say I own the game on the Xbox App. I previously had game pass and had played Assassin's Creed Odyssey on PC, and I wish to complete the game, but I do not want to subscribe for game pass again as the other games do no interest me, and I would like to own Odyssey permanently.

I'm sorry, the version from this link is playable on Xbox consoles only, https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/p/BW9TWC....

You can only play it on your computer by having a Game pass Ultimate or Game pass for PC subscription through the Ubisoft connect app.

has to be purchased via ubisoft store for pc or steam or gog, not available via microsoft for pc and only for console, you will need to submit a refund request.

the reason you see it in gamepass pc is if you have ultimate gamepass you get access to ubsoft+ games, you need to have your account linked to ubisoft and use the ubisoft client to run the game if you have gamepass ultimate.

Try deleting your game from the Control Panel menu. I had the same problem with Sea of Thieves. I tried installing it over and over through MStore. But it just kept crashing and failing in the end of the download process. Had to delete the game and all
it's content from my pc then reinstalling it to make it work.

From what I remember, there are two types of Minecraft on the Microsoft store. Minecraft for Windows 10 and the Xbox version. My memory is a tad outdated though, so it may be different today.

Flight Simulator 2020 is available to purchase on DVD or digital download. You cannot copy the download to a PC. If the PC Crashes and it needs reformatting and installing again, you just find it in your game library, and install the game from there.

For licences. For PC, you can install the game on 10 different PCs if you wish, and the game if you purchase it, will always be associated with your Microsoft account, so it is yours forever.
