Cannot install Minecraft for Windows.

Hello, I am having a very frustrating issue where I cannot install minecraft for windows. When I try to download the game from the launcher, it freezes at ~817 MB. A few moments later an 'Error' pops up. This is what I have tried so far and the outcome:

Installing from minecraft launcher downloaded off microsoft store: Freezes at 817 MB, then 'Error'.

Installing from microsoft store directly: Freezes at ~890 MB, then says 'there was a problem downloading' with a retry button.

Logging out, back in, then installing from microsoft store directly: Freezes again.

Deleting launcher, reseting computer: Freezes again.

Reseting WiFi/Modem: Freezes again.

Updating Windows and updating drivers: Freezes again.

Installing minecraft launcher off XBOX App then attempting to install: Freezes at ~817 MB again.

Installing straight from XBOX App: Freezes at ~890 MB again.

Tried installing onto different drives: Still freezes.

Not sure what else to attempt or what the actual issue is. I cannot find an error code either. Thankful for any help!

Select "Download Windows Legacy Launcher"

Start the launcher.

It appears that you are having trouble installing Minecraft for Windows in your device and despite of performing the relevant troubleshooting steps, the issue still persists. Let us check this out and help you figure out and make sure to resolve your concern in timely manner.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. What is the version of your Windows? To check follow the steps below:

Press Windows key + R to open Run and type winver into the box and then select OK.
a new about Windows will list your Windows version information. You may take screenshot.

2. Where did you purchase the Minecraft for Windows?

3. Are you sign in using the account that was used to sign in during purchase?

Additionally, below are the troubleshooting steps worth trying for.

1. Make sure both the Xbox and Gaming Services apps are up to date

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
Select Library.
Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app. If an update is available, select Update.

2. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

> To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

3. Uninstall and reinstall Gaming Services

Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Check if your windows and all its services are up to date:

- Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

- Click Check for Updates;

- Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If the issue persist:

- In the windows search bar type "Powershell"

- Right click and select open as administrator

- Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers"

Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and open the gamepass app, it will ask you to reinstall the gaming services, install it, and try again.

After that try to install Minercraft again...

Cannot install Minecraft for Windows.
