    Cannot install FH5 for seemingly no reason


    Hello everyone,

    I've been trying to install FH5 today and I can't manage to start the download, its just goes into error with the following code : 0x87e00017.

    I have the game via the gamepass and I have no problem to download any other game included with the gamepass, and I can re-install FH4 with no problem, I've tried everything I found on the internet but still can't fix it. I waited till the official released date just in case, nope didn't work either. I've tried on all my current drive with way enough space but nothing seems to be fixing it. Thought it was my gamepass bugging but as I said I can download any other game included. I'm really clueless on what to do, if you got any help, I will take it with joy.

    Steps of what I did :

    Disconnecting/Reconnecting from WS
    Did the wsreset.exe thing

    Repaired/Reseted Xbox app, uninstalled and reinstalled as well,

    Same with MS (uninstalled from PowerShell)

    Checked for updates

    Checked my antivirus firewall (don't really know what rules to look at tho, I'm running Norton 360)

    Basicaly followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-mSbj7yDgY (all the steps are in the desc. of the video) but did not update with the W10 media tool.

    I also tried to let the download going on in error as it's how my friend manage to download FH5, left it as "error" but it downloaded anyway, didn't work as well

    I really don't what to do anymore but trying to run the store as adminstrator, I'm not even sur it's possible and if possible how to do so.

    Finally updated as said in the video, still asn't fixed it.

    I rly don't know what to do anymore, gonna try to reset everything on more time lol

    Hi, I'm lvnley and this is what helped me and got Forza to download!
    1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.
    2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.
    3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.
    4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.

    I was looking forward for this evening with my buddies to play the new game.

    thx that is more people that have the same problem, i payed around 90usd for this game cant install it, on steam it works fine for my other buddies, whats the problem. I cant refund the game either what **** this is.

    Pls MS step up your A game.

    Yes I've tried each of my drives, unfortunately the solutions did not work. I'll try the upgrade tomorrow.

    I'll keep the thread updated if it can help anyone else.
