    Cannot get voice in Party Chat on Astro A50 Headset (4th Gen)


    My Series X had a console update last night 5/28 and I noticed issues after that. For context, my console is in the Insider Program, Alpha Skip Ahead.

    I can hear all audio fine. In-game, parties, third-party apps, etc. However, I cannot talk to anyone in Party Chat. It just won't pick up my voice even though it detects the headset. I've updated to Astro's latest firmware via The Command Center on my PC.

    The craziest thing about it all is that when i send VOICE MESSAGES, they work fine. You can hear me clearly. I'm stumped at this point. Anyone else experiencing this?

    I'm getting this same issue on my Astro A50 Gen 3 headset. I think an update Xbox pushed out broke something. I am able to party chat with anyone who joins my party. I am not able to chat in a game lobby or game.

    Astro A50's not working in party chat or game chat on Backwards Compatible games

    Does the headset work on Xbox One Party chat (i.e. do you see a circle around your gamerpic in the party chat on Xbox One)?

    Are only Backwards compatible games affected? If so, it might be that the Astro A50 base station acts as a USB microphone, which doesn't work as Chat microphone on the Xbox 360.

    You might have to contact the Astro A50 support for information on how to use that headset on backwards compatible titles.

    Yeah it works on the Xbox One party chat but yeah that's what i was thinking i might just have to get a old Xbox One chat headset for it to work.
